Re: Cactus seeds?
Fri, October 19, 2007 - 2:12 PMdude just go to home depot or lowes they have them in 10 inch pots already rooted, due to the beautiful ,fragrant flowers these are abundant landscaping cacti, much to allot of peoples surprise.
i believe the Peruvian torch is the most common. besides you'll be 50 before you get it to grow large enough for eating.

Sat, October 20, 2007 - 4:12 PMOh, I wasn't aware of that. The last time I saw some at home depot none of them had labeled names, so I don't know which to pick up. -

Re: Cactus seeds?
Sun, October 21, 2007 - 6:31 PMwell just google some images and match them up, if you know your euphorbs from your cereus you will be ok, or just remember its the bluesh one with between 4 and 6 points if you cut it into stars, real thorns ,as in not extensions of the main plant, no leaves, ever, only the euphorbs will have leaves. they only carry euphorbs or trichocereus in the large upright cactus collection in the plastic 10 inch pots. i have one taller than i am but i really am in no hurry to eat it it hasnt even bloomed yet.
heres a link to help.images.google.com/imgres
