Hi I made a pile of Minnesota Muskmelon seeds last year, give me a shout if you want me to send you some. This is a heritage OP strain that I was really pleased with, tasty stuff and quite productive. Fruits were ready starting in late august-early sept here on Vancouer Island zone 7b 50th degree N.

    Conrad,

thanks for the generous offering. i have never grown muskmelons before but spent a fortune buying them the past few years. could you help me with a bit of info about when to plant, how much sun they like, how much water they need, how to keep the pests away, are there larger animals that would eat the fruit (like deer), and what nutrition/compost to feed them?? i appreciate your input. i would like some seeds as well. connect with me and lets chat.

    respect and blessings.....Israel

Sure, if you still have some,I'd like to give them a try. I'm just about to plant some cantaloupes, so I'd like to see, smell,& taste the difference.
    Thanks,
    NB

...I'm currently collecting Scott Bonnett Seeds - hotter than the habenero (sp?). I don't have enough yet for a general offering yet (and damn it, I keep rubbing my face with the pepper oil on my hands).. but likewise, send me an address if you'd like some. They like hot weather, so it might be an interesting northern experiment.
